Garry South and Vice President Al Gore share a laugh during Gore’s 2000 presidential run. South was a key advisor to the Gore campaign in California, a state he won 80-20 over former U.S. Sen. Bill Bradley in the primary, and by a margin of 54-42 and 1.3 million votes over George W. Bush in the general election.
